X-mas hair

On 24th of December children living in my house went to a salon next door to do their hair. They were so excited (täpinöissään) about their new looks. Adorable kids. (A story behind pictures can be read here, in Finnish.)

Girrrrrlie Dress

The fifth one.

And even more to come... I just got my new ones. Feeling happy, but little bit guilty, voihan yltäkylläisyys, I would say in Finnish.

The Indian Dress

Fab Indian fabric.

The original design.

Fabric didn't reach. So we decided to cut it. Good enough.

Third one. I used my old Indian fabric, which I was not able to wear as sari. The dress still needs to be adjusted kakra kakra (small small), (waist little bit too loose and not enought room for my thights to sit down), but I do like it.

Long Lace Dress

Another new dress of mine. Plain light purple fabric covered entirely by dark purple lace. Never knew, that someday I was going to wear something like this! Still missing matching shoes...

Lorry Tyre Sandals

Last week I met a man from Bolgatanga selling sandals made of old lorry tyres and leather. So, let me proudly introduce my new (favorite) sandals. I think they will last long.

My Very First Dress

I am still waiting for my new dresses, (something always happens). Meanwhile being wearing this one, my very first dress here in Ghana. It is over two years old, but still looking nice.

Fabric: Da Viva
Location: Abura, Cape Coast

Two years ago the brand new dress, and the woman inside, were looking like this.
